Alcohol Testing

Breath Alcohol Testing

Random breath alcohol testing can help you identify individuals who may have a substance abuse problem while also deterring others from starting or continuing excessive alcohol use on or off the job site.

Our accurate and timely tests provide you with clear evidence of amounts of alcohol consumption so you can make decisions based on scientific fact rather than guessing or assuming.

Employees in the following sectors are considered DOT-covered:

-Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration – FMCSA

-Federal Railroad Administration – FRA

-Federal Aviation Administration – FAA

-Federal Transit Administration – FTA

-Pipeline & Hazardous Materials Safety Administration – PHMSA

-United States Coast Guard – USCG

DOT Breath Alcohol Testing

DOT covered employees are required by federal law to be subject to alcohol testing. As your alcohol testing partner, we can conduct random, unannounced alcohol testing at your request. This testing can be administered before, during, or after an employee performs safety-sensitive tasks.

Only Breath Alcohol Technicians that meet the training and qualification requirements of Title 49 Part 40 Subpart J section §40.213 are permitted to conduct Breath Alcohol Tests.

Our team of BATs specifically follow the testing procedures as described in Title 49 Part 40 Subpart L through N of the CFR. Complying with DOT regulations is imperative because a failure to comply with these federal regulations may result in varying consequences.

Non-DOT Breath Alcohol Testing

Non-DOT breath alcohol tests are done for employers with employees that are not under the umbrella of DOT covered employees. It is a great service for employers that are looking to implement a drug & alcohol-free workplace program.

Our certified BATs, Breath Alcohol Technicians, always follow the recommended procedures of the DOT to ensure accuracy and validity of the test results.
